Crossways Garage is situated within the heart of UK's favourite wedding venue town Gretna, Dumfriesshire. The Garage business partner's, Malcolm Crosbie, father started the business over 24 years ago. Over the quarter of a century the proprietor’s father has carefully built up the business as well as providing excellent services and friendly advice to the Gretna community and surrounding areas.

Long before building construction started on Crossways Garage's land, much planning was going on behind closed doors on how Crossways Garage could provide everything a motorist could wish for. Crossways Garage was already a well established garage that offered MOTs, Tyre fitting and alignment, servicing and a repair service.  Additional to the decisions on what Crossways Garage should offer Gretna town and surrounding areas with a road-side assistance recovery service. The next step to the plans was to create a petrol and diesel station along with a convenience store and a hot and cold food Deli.

See below for a brief step-by-step account on the Crossways Garage expanded on creating, what is know as, a beneficial ammenities for Gretna and Gretna's surrounding areas.

Crossways Garage Construction

The constuction on Crossways Garage started in 2005 where careful excavation of the hole (shown left) for the large capacity underground storage fuel tanks. Family members, Malcolm Crosbie and his father, were present all the way through the construction. 
These family members worked very closely with the project's engineers, architects, and other contractors to verify everything was being carried out securely and safely. 

Once the excavation of the underground fuels tanks new home was fully completed, the next step was to carefully lower and place the fuel tank. All work surrounding the ecavation with the installation of the fuels tank were carried out with the upmost safety. These safety procedures were followed by guidelines created by the HSE and the Environment Agency, which assists in avoiding damage and pollution.


Guideance for the design, construction, modification and maintenance concerning the fuel station at Crossways Garage was, and still is, paramount within the whole process. 

Forecourt Construction

As mentioned previously, the Crossways Garage owners were present during safety checks on all underground fuels tanks as well as all channel connections to the petrol and diesel pumps.
 
The next step was to secure the underground fuel tanks. The fuel pumps were installed and connected to the underground fuel tanks by professionals, Once this was completed it was time to call in the forecourt contractors (shown left).

As you can see they are carefully levelling the area around the newly installed fuel pumps. The final step to the whole project was to install the powerful car wash and vacuum facilities.

Friendly Staff Recruited

All the work has been carried out, safety and security checks have een made, and the clean up process has been completed. The final step to Crossways Garage's new additions was to seek and interview their excellent staff for the fuel station, convenience store and the hot and cold food deli. The newly appointed staff members are very professional, friendly, and very helpful employees. These staff members are the icing on Crossways Garage's cake!
